The Viewsonic 10 inch multi-touch Android tablet is one of the most advanced and high powered 10 inch android tablets available on the market today. In fact, in terms of horsepower the Viewsonic out guns even the iPad and not barely, but by leaps and bounds.
The Viewsonic tablet has an NVidia Tegra 2 duel core processor, 16 GB internal memory, and 512 MB DDR2 of ram, twice the amount in the iPad, plus an advanced graphics processing unit which gives you not only the ability to watch and stream movies in 1080p HD, but to play the most advanced games available online. The g-tablet comes installed with Android 2.2 and supports Flash 10.1 which lets you play and watch any site which has flash.

The Viewsonic g-tablet's has a sleek design, weighing in at 1.5 pounds, and half an inch thick and exterior features. The screen is a high quality capacitive touch screen with 1024 x 600 pixel resolution. The tablet comes with a forward facing 1.3 megapixel camera for video chat. Battery life is pretty good, lasting around 10 hours on a full charge. The g-tablet comes with the usual peripherals, USB, micro USB, 3.5 head phone jack, wifi b/g/n and Bluetooth support. The Viewsonic G-tablet in the hardware sense is great; the software side is what is keeping it from surpassing the iPad by miles.
Andriod 2.2 is a good operating system, and the tablet handles it well, the real issue is the extra software that Viewsonic installs especially the TapNTap software which makes the user interface slow and clunky, although the December Viewsonic update has taken care of the most complained about issues with the UI and tablet. If you are a techy person you might also consider flashing a custom rom, XDA- developers.com has a special forum for the g-tablet with lots of useful information. Another downside is the viewing angle, it is not the best. If you plan on using this mainly as an ebook reader, plan on getting something else.
Overall this tablet is great. The hardware inside is ahead of any other tablet available on the market today, and for months to come. Not only can it handle Android easily right now, the duel core processor, advanced GPU, and 512 MB of memory give you the ability to install Android 3.0 which is slated to come out later this year. For under 0.00 and likely to drop, this Viewsonic g-tablet is a great product.
